MBABANE – Sipho Nkosi who threatened to expose corruption within the Swazi judiciary has been fired as a High Court Judge by King Mswati III.
In Eswatini the king appoints a government for the people. He appoints the chief justice, judges, ministers, to name a few.
A document in our possession confirms judge Nkosi’s removal.
Another issue is that judge Sipho Nkosi tried to release murder suspect Sipho Shongwe.
Shongwe allegedly killed King Mswati III’s business associate and millionaire Victor Maradona Gamedze.
In 2018, judge Nkosi threatened to expose corruption within the Swati judiciary system.
He wanted to expose a judiciary cabal interfering in the Sipho Shongwe – Victor Gamedze case.
However Nkosi then opted to remain silent. Information gathered is that the fired judge was most educated than Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala. This created tensions between the parties as Nkosi has deep knowledge of the law.
A document signed by King Mswati III reveals that Judge Antony Nkosi was fired on 23 February, 2022.
